Do I need to drop Shopify Payments?
No. Krown sits on top of your Shopify checkout and processes the payment through Whop. Shopify Payments stays available as an optional gateway for buyers who choose to use it.
Will my payouts ever be held or reserved?
Not on a whim. Unlike a single Stripe account that can freeze with no warning, payouts run through Whop's risk-gated system: a clean account with a low dispute rate sees 0% reserve and 48h payouts. A reserve only kicks in if your chargeback rate climbs — and it shows up transparently with your risk score, never out of nowhere. Krown's built-in dispute auto-refund is designed to keep disputes low so it stays at zero.
Does it work on Shopify Basic, or do I need Plus?
It works on every Shopify plan — Basic, Grow, Advanced, Plus. No upgrade needed. The checkout customization that Shopify normally gates behind Plus is delivered here through your own subdomain instead.
What happens to my existing subscriptions?
Whop has a Stripe-to-Whop importer built in. From our dashboard you open the Whop page and finish in five minutes. Subscriptions continue to be charged without interruption — your customers do nothing.
How much does it actually cost?
Krown takes 1% on successful transactions. Processor fees below are ~3% + $0.30 (varies by provider — orchestration routes across Stripe, Whop, Adyen and more) — equivalent to Stripe or Shopify Payments. No monthly fee, no setup fee, no minimum.
What happens if Krown goes down?
The checkout automatically falls back to the default Shopify checkout (controlled by the "bypass percent" slider in the dashboard). No order is lost. The payment processors run on separate infrastructure from Krown.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Remove the script from Shopify (or have us auto-remove it from the dashboard) and your default checkout is back. Active subscriptions keep being handled directly by Whop — nothing is lost.
